Sooner or later, everyone becomes a relic of a bygone era. There's a moment we all have when some new way to play a movie comes out, and we remember the now-obsolete technology when it was new. It happened with VHS tapes and it will somehow happen with all-digital content. It's sort of exciting and sort of scary, but to make ourselves feel safer at the end of the day we can always indulge in powerful images of sensory nostalgia.
I won't lie to you- I'm 21 and recognize about 3 of the things listed. Sorry if that makes you feel old. I feel a little dumb not being able to recognize these things, it feels like everyone is in on some big inside joke that I will never understand. But it's ok because even though my parents would understand these tweets, they don't understand how to make an Instagram post. We all have our weaknesses, basically.
